Dominic and leaves 11-12-2009

Dominic is a 2 year old boy, packed full of engery. He is so sweet and willing to try anything or do things that just make you know that god sent him here for our joy.
We live in georgia, and we have a big oak tree in our front yard. The winds blows, and the next day , the yard is full of leaves.

The man next door cuts our grass and blows theleaves into a mulcher, so our yard is kept clean all the time. Dominic has a little rake, so when he sees the leaves he want to help. His favorite saying is "me help or me do it".

His favorite thing is to jump into a big pile of leaves and just laugh. The other day i was sweeping the deck off from all the leaves that had falling the night before. Here this lettle man comes with his hand held little broom and spade to pick up what he sweeps. He sweeps everytime i do. He puts them on his little spade and throws it over the railing of the deck. He is so proud that he is helping nanny.

This is great, not only are we spending time together, but sometimes he will see different colors leaves and bring to me. So he is learning about fall and how god makes things pretty even when they fall off the tree.

Raking leaves with a 2 year old is , rake a little, talk alot. He is learning and seeing all of the different things most children don't have time to do. I try and teach him god makes all, then about that time a squirrel goes running across the yard and Dominic will say "god made him to". I say " yes" and feel proud that this time raking leaves was well spent. Thank you god for our gift love nanny
